As we commemorate Dr. King's vision for a world where everyone is treated with dignity and has access to basic human rights, let us remember that volunteerism is a powerful tool in achieving these aspirations. Every act of kindness, every hour volunteered, and every effort expended brings us one step closer to realizing a society where homelessness is eradicated, and the principles of justice and equality prevail:
