National Homeless Persons’ Memorial Day (HPMD) is observed annually on or around December 21, the longest night of the year.
This year, KACS will hold a memorial event in front of the Resource Center on Thursday, December 19th, from 11:30 AM to 12:00 Noon.
Purpose: To honor and remember those
who have died while experiencing homelessness.
We ask that you pause your work activities during this time to stand together as we think deeply and carefully about this. The observance will include a brief statement and the opportunity to light a candle in remembrance.
Let us come together to honor the undiminished dignity of those who have passed while unsheltered this Homeless Persons’ Memorial Day.
Thank you for your support in making this a meaningful moment of reflection.
